This is very popular in the IS and this is use as circular movements, long strokes and kneading to relax the muscles. This is great if it is your first time as these are very relaxing and gentle.

An aromatherapy uses therapy alongside essential oils. These essential oils can cause relaxation, energizing, balancing or stress reducing. One of the most commonly used essential oils in aromatherapy massage is lavender. This type is very effective for those trying to reduce stress.

A hot stone massage can be used to release muscle tension. In smooth stones are heated and then placed on specific areas of the body. The heated stones can be used to balance the energy in your body as well as loosen up tight muscles. Many times the massage therapists may apply pressure using a heated stone.

A deep tissue this loosens up the connective tissue and deep muscle layers. Massage therapists will use different friction techniques and slow stokes across the muscle grain. This type of massage is used for painful muscles, postural issues, injury recovery and repetitive strain. Many times you will feel sore after having a deep tissue massage.

Shiatsu massage is a type of Japanese bodywork that uses finger pressure on acupuncture meridians. The fingers will press on each point for a few seconds as this helps to bring the body's energy flow into balance. With shiatsu the massage uses quite a bit of pressure but unlike a deep tissue massage you will not feel sore afterwards.

A Thai massage is like the shiatsu as it realigns the body's energy. This type of massage also includes stretches and compressions.
